Driving reinvestment in R&D for antibiotics and advocating their responsible use

Work Package 1A Delphi Round Stakeholder Meeting

Work Package 1A (responsible use of antibiotics) will be hosting a meeting in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, on 30 September 2015, with experts and stakeholders including representatives of the medical community, public health, pharmaceutical R&D and payers or policymakers.

The meeting is part of a RAND-modified Delphi method to achieve expert consensus on the definition of “responsible antibiotic use” and the associated quality indicators and quantity metrics.

The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the results of a stakeholder survey administered to appraise these potentially relevant metrics and indicators, as well as a proposed global definition of responsible antibiotic use.
